Dear Self,
You have too much to do right now. You need to write 6000 more words before you're done with Nanowrimo. You need to clean your house for Uncle #2 who arrives from New Zealand tomorrow. You need to hang up last week's laundry and do this weeks too. You should also shower, save the water in the tub and wash the dog before that rash gets any worse. You have to do all of this and still get to bed at a decent hour because you have to wake up at 5am to get aforementioned uncle from the airport two hours away.
So why, WHY, are you still sitting online on insanejournal? Seriously fool, RP can wait. You do NOT want to pick up your friend's character's little brother. No, you do not have ideas for what he could have seen to cause the rift between them. You do not care that he's an awkward loner stuck in a new town. You do not want to pick him up. So stop thinking about it and go work on that stupid novel instead because you'll be too tired to do it tomorrow.

i fucking love this line. i love the pairing and i'm so glad we found each other because holy. crap. i waited for a long time to get this and it was so worth it. i love the way you play him and i think you've got him down perfectly. whether they're just talking about random things, or if they're talking about memories (which i love how we can develop them through that) they make me smile so big. i'm so glad that we're on the same page and i'm really excited to see where they go and i hope that this line lasts for a very long time because i really do love them and i hope you know that. <33333

I feel just the slightest bit odd writing this up, since it's been an age since I was at ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/community.gif) creativeartists and I've been meaning to do this for a while. I wasn't there for very long and I don't have any clue as to who you are, or even if you're around anymore. Despite that, I need to give some sort of shout out to you because I admired you GREATLY, and thought your portrayal was lovely. I have no idea where you've gone or if you'll see this, but elab, you are definitely amazing. It was so difficult for me to hold onto my girl's muse because she's very unknown, but I enjoyed their interaction, even if the part of me that adores Christian Bale kept hindering her from striking up more conversation that didn't involve spandex! I haven't seen very many portrayals of him, but you are one of the few that I have thoroughly enjoyed, even if most of it was from afar. I'm not in a place that celebrates Thanksgiving, but somehow I got nostalgic, and when I consider how long it's been and how I still remember you, I'm hoping it's a reflection on how great you were! So to keep this short and sweet, elab, you are amazing!

Since it's Thanksgiving, I can't think of any better time to give some more love to my friends at mobile. You guys are so amazing and it is so awesome to write with you every day. dearest you;On this day of thanks, I wanted to start with you. You've been a main staple in my life, in roleplay and otherwise. You're never afraid to go to those dark places that my mind sometimes likes to go, you're right there with me, gung ho and ready to take it on. You never shy away from the things that everyone else is afraid to take on and God, that just makes you so awesome in my eyes. I am thankful everyday that you took the chance to comment me all those years ago with a simple: "We look like we have alot in common, do you mind if I add you?" because ... God, I really have no idea where I'd be without you as my friend and otherwise. I love you to death and probably more than anyone else (sorry guys, I still love you all, muwah). capa - Oh, fuck me, you are perfect. I think it's hilarious how long we've been RPing together and only just recently started discussing it oocly and realized we pretty much are MFEO. Our characters get along in ways that neither of us could have planned and rarely, if ever, plan anything. You know how much your girls mean to me and throwing it back ages, you know how much Cillian means (and oh my God, the conversations my characters have had with yours range from penguins' poop to toys that don't need batteries to operate) You know that you're in my life now and you are never, ever leaving, my drunken whore <3
edwardblake - HI, SOULMATE. You were the first version of your girl that I played off of because I was nervous playing her myself and you surpassed any thing I could have hoped for in regards to that storyline. One day, we'll get to revisit them, but until then, we'll go onward with Bob and Suse and know that you are amazing and A+
fuckabees - YOU ARE SO SELF-CENTERED, WHY AM I ENABLING YOU? But seriously. You are awesome. You really are the other half to my RP soul, because no matter who we pick up (and we've picked up too many to count together), they all manage to be hilarious and perfect in their own ways. We both have severe ADHD with characters, but I'm so glad we've had the change to see different facets of different relationships and that you're willing to jump the shark with me <3
gargoyle - SUP, LADY? I pretty much adore you and we've had two incredibly long running storylines (Alex/Scar and Amy/Scar) and though they've both gone to their ends, you know I love you. You're an amazing person and a wonderful writer and you should never doubt that. Love'm.
hauk - So, you're pretty boss. We both have very busy lives and still manage to make it count with our kids. Your guy has made my girl infinitely happy and I'm happy to say that in my opinion, no matter how OOC, this might be it for her. They go through ups and downs and manage to come out with sunshine and rainbows. I <3 you and the joys in RP you've brought and you are, in my mind, THE ONLY JUDE LAW EVER. Thank you and goodnight.
hockney - YOU WIN AT LIFE. We haven't had a lot of interactions since our girls died out, but you know I love your characters. You're always so witty and they're so well developed and articulate and I admire your ability to bring everyone's personality out in such a way that is so distinct to each character and sets yours above from other interpretations. manifestdestiny - Our schedules have gotten away from us, but you know I love the shit out of you. You are Elijah and we've been playing for so many damn years. Whether it's Scarlett and Lij or PJ and EJ, I know that they're perfect in their own ways. Ilu and one day, we'll get to play more of the Wood-Racine lovefest. I know it.
vondi - You are, in fact, my longest-running storyline partner. We go through our ups and downs and sometimes I just want to throttle you (and I know you feel the same way about me sometimes) and I think it's made us stronger as friends and writing partners. Jared and Ian together have been my OTP for so long and I know you're one of the best writers on the server. Love you, Sam.

Zac has been around for a year now and it's incredibly unbelievable for me. I was terrified of trying to do celeb after pretty much a lifetime of PB, but for some reason I got the inspiration, and I tried to jump in head first. It's always surprised me how much this kid came to life in Glam. When I thought for sure he wouldn't last even a few months he shocked me. Of course, I can't take all the credit. He wouldn't be as alive and vibrant with his own personality if it weren't for each and every person he interacts with at Glam. You all have made this experience so incredible. Honestly, I've written with writers in this community that challenge me to do better and reach for what I've never thought to do with my characters before. I could go on and on. Glam has changed my opinion of celebing and definitely made any other community seem lackluster next to the shiny mountain of wonder that it has become. But let me stop now and go on to tell all of you that have made this such a great experience, how very much I appreciate and adore your little brain children. ( Come and get your love, GLAM. You know you want it. ) |

hi, audience. i've been meaning to do this for about seven years but i have performance anxiety and always get distracted and have never gotten around to it, but i fear my time writing sienna is coming to a close in the near future, so i figured i'd better get to it. i hope i don't miss anybody, but in all likelihood i'm going to, so if i forget you, please just slap me around a little and i'll beg for forgiveness and we'll just pretend it never happened. while i'm at it, i'd like to give super props to the mod team for sticking it out, even when i know sometimes we're all looking at the fpage and getting antsy. you guys are awesome, and thanks for creating such a fun and welcoming community!

katdennings I have so much I could write here but to put it point blank, YOU ARE AMAZING. Beyond amazing. I don't know much about Kat at all but when Ryan was "forced" to watch one of her movies and then got her back by looking up some youtubes, she is cuter than I expected and your portrayal of her only made me a fan of her as well. I was actually on the verge of giving up rp altogether, I had for a bit but then picked it back up and while I probably should step away... when Kat came into Ryan's life, I couldn't. It had been a long time since I found someone who was actually game for writing every night, or even once a week, so then I became very spoiled and Ryan fell in love in the process. I have never written Ryan so completely enthralled with a woman before but it just came on and it's a struggle to write him like that everyday but I wouldn't have it any other way because it seems like the right path to go on. He fights with his words and emotions daily, but so does she, and thank God she puts up with it. Usually, I don't care if they knew each other in real life because it's a game, but I think it does help and makes it all the more interesting that they share mutual friends and stalk each other on twitter and youtube because it brings an extra dose of reality into the game. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BEING AWESOME. I've never had a storyline progress so fast but I would not want to put the breaks on these two because they are amazing together. At least I think so. Like I said before, I could go on and on but just know that you rock ... to infinity and beyond.

I'm having a lot of trouble attracting players to my game and I'm wondering what other mods do in that situation? I've tweaked and retweaked until I can do absolutely no more. I've changed my old html and colors to something much more pleasing after getting feedback from a critique group. I've added a complete site map as well as other suggestions that have been given to me by players and so I don't necessarily think it's the look/layouts anymore. If I'm having so much trouble, should I be changing my plot or just advertise more frequently?
